Although often reduced to the visible aspects, the landscape consists of an extremely complex and polysemic concept, with multiple openings and possibilities for analysis. In the immense debate in which the concept is involved, there are various ways of approaching it, adding different meanings. Thus, we seek in this article to initially reflect on the construction of the landscape concept in geography, addressing some of its meanings and perspectives of analysis. Next, we will discuss the concept of representation, especially based on the conception developed by Henri Lefebvre, seeking to consider its possible contributions to the construction of an integrative landscape perspective. Our objective is to reaffirm the analytical potential of landscape by the proposition of an geographical and integrating perspective of this concept, in view of the contributions of the representations.
