This paper proposes a geographical reflection concerning the concept of space from a relational perspective, considering its manifold conceptual dimensions and various thematic axes. As a key concept for Geography, ‘space’ is thus approached as a sound foundation for a demystifying epistemology, opposed to the universal ‘certainties’ sought through modern rationality and still in use amongst a number of geographical studies. Therefore, this study suggests an spatial analysis oriented by the relation between ‘society’ and ‘nature’, ‘time’ an ‘power’, shedding some light on debates concerning various ‘developments and sustainabilities’ in the contemporary world.
