The city is a complex space and of great importance to the Social Sciences. Its reproduction process finds in school an important support system for the maintenance of its capitalist dynamics. In this text, we defend that the school, especially with regard to the approach of the city, is guided by the consecration of the capitalist reproduction of the urban space, serving as an obstacle to the flourishing of collective and significant forms of belonging and living, that is, of human appropriation of space urban. Thus, we defend the understanding of the process of reproduction of urban space as crucial for the unveiling of the contemporary world in the classroom, in order to stimulate another city.
