Com o intuito de empreender uma reflexão da relação entre“patrimônio cultural” e “sítios arqueológicos pré-coloniais” pertencentes a grupos da etnia guarani, no Município de Iepê-SP, o presente artigo apresenta um viés que abrange a propriedade humana de constantemente (re)criar a sua cultura junto ao processo social de construção do lugar que, por extensão, o apropria (de forma real e simbólica) como elemento básico de constituição da identidade.PALAVRAS-CHAVES: paisagem, lugar, sítios arqueológicos, identidade, patrimônio cultural e cultura guarani.ABSTRACT:With the aim of engaging a reflection on the relationshipbetween “cultural patrimony and “pre-colonial archeological sites” belonging to the Guarani ethnic groups, in the town of Iepê-SP, this article presents a view that comprises the human characteristic of constantly (re)creating its culture along the social process of construction of the place that, as a continuity, appropriates it (in fact and symbolically) as basic element ofconstitution of the identity.KEY-WORDS: landscape, place, archeological sites, identity, cultural patrimony and Guarani culture.
