A pesquisa se desenvolve na escola municipal Luiz de Lemos no Bairro do Carmari um bairro na cidade de Nova Iguaçu na Baixada Fluminense. O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar como as crianças da Baixada Fluminense percebem o seu lugar e representam por meio de desenhos o seu lugar. O desenho é uma linguagem gráfica própria que tem seus próprios códigos.
