O tratamento dos países tropicais nos livros didáticos franceses de Geografia entre 1925 e 1960 reflete o estado da ciência na época, mas a sua organização é estritamente determinada pelos textos oficiais e o conteúdo fortemente influenciado pelo estado da sociedade: neste período, os países tropicais eram principalmente colônias a mais serem exploradas.
