Resumo
O incremento da pecuária bovina de leite no município de Ituiutaba/MG no período de 1975 a 2015 proporcionou dinâmicas no setor produtivo agropecuário. Esta atividade obteve significativo crescimento após a implantação das agroindústrias processadoras de leite neste município, que são a Fazendeira, implantada em 1938, Nestlé, instalada em 1974 e o laticínio Canto de Minas, datado de 1994. Para a organização desta investigação, desenvolveu-se as seguintes etapas metodológicas. Na primeira, fez-se a pesquisa bibliográfica, alicerçando a matriz teórica/metodológica; posteriormente, buscou-se dados secundários da produção agropecuária e na terceira etapa fez-se visitas as propriedades produtoras de leite a fim de visualizar in loco a realidade vivida por estes produtores e também aos laticínios e responsáveis por associações, sindicatos e secretaria da agricultura do município, nesta etapa buscou-se averiguar as dificuldades e as perspectivas deste setor no cenário agropecuário atual. Por fim, analisou-se as informações e dados obtidos nas fases anteriormente citadas, gerando a interpretação do processo de organização/reorganização espacial resultante do desenvolvimento da cadeia produtiva de leite bovino nesta unidade territorial, e, sobretudo, o entendimento da importância do incremento desta atividade para este município.

ABSTRACT:
The increment of bovine milk in the city of Ituiutaba/MG from 1975 to 2015 provided dynamics in the agricultural production sector. This activity achieved significant growth after the implantation of the milk processing agro-industries in this city, which are Fazendeira, established in 1938, Nestlé, installed in 1974 and the Canto de Minas dairy, dated to 1994. To organize this investigation it was developed the following methodological steps. In the first one, the bibliographic research was done, grounding the theoretical/methodological matrix; subsequently, secondary data on agricultural production were sought and in the third stage visits were made to the dairy producing properties in order to visualize in loco the reality faced by these producers and also to the dairies and heads of associations, unions and the city’s Department of Agriculture, in this stage it was sought to investigate the difficulties and perspectives of this sector in the current agricultural scenario. To conclude, we analyzed the information and data obtained in the phases mentioned above, generating the interpretation of the socio-spatial organization/reorganization process resulting from the development of the bovine milk production chain in this territorial unit, and the understanding of the importance of this increase activity in this city.
