RESUMEN:El presente trabajo da a conocer parte de la experiencia del Observatorio de Equidad en Salud, según Género y Pueblo Mapuche, red de trabajo que reúne a la Universidad con las organizaciones de mujeres Mapuche y no Mapuche de la región de la Araucanía de Chile. Desde hace más de una década, en esta red de mujeres, convergen académicas e integrantes de la sociedad civil que configuran un espacio de generación de conocimientos, saberes y experiencias colectivas de protagonismo sociocultural en salud que busca incidir en el mejoramiento de las políticas públicas del área. Por otra parte, también se propone con el artículo presentar la propuesta de una instancia similar en la Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS-Brasil), que en la actualidad está establecida como una meta del Programa de Educação Ambiental com Comunidades Costeiras (PEAC) que se implementará en el Plan de Trabajo de 2019 y 2020 y que estimamos pudiera constituirse en un espacio de producción académica y de procesos de enseñanza aprendizaje que fortalezcan la importante presencia de la UFS en la región y el país.Palabras clave: Género e Salud; Observatorio Social; Mujeres. ABSTRACT:The present work discloses part of the experience of the Health Equity Observatory, according to Gender and Mapuche People, a network that brings together the University with Mapuche and non-Mapuche women's organizations in the Araucanía region of Chile. For more than a decade, this network of women, where academics and members of civil society converge, form a space for the generation of knowledge, wisdom and collective experiences of sociocultural role in health, which seeks to influence the improvement of public policies of the area. On the other hand, it is also proposed with the article, to suggest the opportunity to generate a similar instance in the Universidad Federal de Sergipe (UFS- Brasil), which is currently established as a goal of the Projeto de Pesquisa e Extensão for Comunidades Costeiras (PEAC) that it will be implemented in the years 2019 and 2020, and we estimate that could constitute a space for academic production and teaching-learning processes that strengthen the important presence of the UFS in the region and the country.Keywords: Gender and Health, Social Observatory, Women.
