DOI: 10.12957/geouerj.2013.5173A hipótese fundamental da investigação faz referência direta à possibilidade de, a partirda pesquisa transdisciplinar de caráter sistêmico, identificar os problemas que afligemos espaços naturais protegidos e sugerir soluções para a gestão desses espaços, com baseem um planejamento que evoque o uso turístico do território, buscando uma relaçãosimbiótica entre os visitantes e as comunidades de destino, abrindo possibilidade àmelhoria da qualidade de vida e colaborando para a conservação do ambiente nesseslocais. Na esfera prática, com finalidade experimental e de aplicação dosconhecimentos, propusemos a análise de uma Unidade de Conservação de uso misto – oParque e APA Estadual Delta do Jacuí/RS – onde utilizamos a técnica da etnografiacomo método principal de investigação. A partir dessa elaboração, o estudo identificouos principais problemas que se contrapõem ao desenvolvimento equilibrado esustentável do território e sugeriu soluções, procurando destacar a relevância de cadaum dos atores envolvidos no processo.Palavras-Chave: Análise Sistêmica; Planejamento Turístico; Sustentabilidade;Territorialidades; Unidade de Conservação.ABSTRACTEmploying systemic transdisciplinary studies, the fundamental hypothesis of thisinvestigation makes a direct reference to the possibility of identifying the problems thatafflict protected natural areas and suggest solutions for the management of these areas,based on planning that calls for the touristic use of the territory, in the quest for asymbolic relationship between the visitors and the destination communities, therebycreating possibilities for improving quality of life and collaborating in the conservationof the environment in these locations. In the practical sphere, with an experimentalpurpose and for the application of expertise, we propose the analysis of a mixed use Conservation Unit – the Jacuí River Delta State Park and EPA in Rio Grande do Sul –in which we employ the ethnography technique as the main method of investigation.Based on this development, the study identified the leading problems that obstructbalanced and sustainable development of the territory and suggested solutions, strivingto highlight the relevance of each of the actors involved in the process.Key words: Systemic Analysis; Touristic Planning; Sustainability; Territorialities;Conservation Unit.
