Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar o histórico e a experiência de organização social em prol da construção de uma rede de agroindústrias familiares rurais (AFRs), no município de Constantina/RS. Essa discussão faz parte da dissertação de mestrado, defendida junto ao Programa de Pós Graduação em Extensão Rural e que tinha por problemática a avaliação de impacto social no universo das AFRs. Apresenta-se aqui um processo e forma de organização que foi sendo construída ao longo de 25 anos e que forneceu as bases sociopolíticas para a criação de uma cooperativa central aliada a progressiva consolidação e expansão das agroindústrias, em sua capacidade de articular produção-processamento-comercialização em circutos curtos e longos, além de galgar apoio das políticas públicas nas esferas municipal, estadual e federal.

ABSTRACT
This article aims to present the history and experience of social organization in favor of building a network of rural family agro-industry (AFR), in the city of Constantina/RS. This discussion is part of the dissertation, defended at the Graduate Program in Agricultural Extension and which had the issue of social impact assessment within the universe of AFR. We present here a strategy for the organization that has been built over 25 years and providing the socio-political bases for the creation of a central cooperative allied with progressive consolidation and expansion of family agro-industry in their ability to articulate production-processing-marketing circut short and long, and climb supporting public policies in municipal, state and federal.
