O presente artigo apresenta resultados parciais da dissertação de mestrado: "Do povo sem espaço ao espaço sem povo: Uma análise da Zeitschrift für Geopolitik", apresentada ao Departamento de Geografia/USP, em 1996. Na primeira publicação de resultados parciais desta Dissertação2, contextualizamos o surgimento da Revista de Geopolítica, em 1924, analisando o universo eclético de idéias e tendências, vivenciadas pela "crise da ciência" do início do século XX, com o intuito de compreender o surgimento da Zeitschrift für Geopolitik (ZfG) - Revista de Geopolítica. Neste artigo abrimos um parêntese para falar do levantamento de dados da pesquisa como um todo, para então iniciarmos a discussão relativa aos principais debates travados na Geografia, produzida na Alemanha, nas primeiras décadas do século XX. Parte central desta discussão está consubstanciada no debate entre Geografia da Paisagem (Landschaftskunde) e Geografia Regional (Länderkunde).

ABSTRACT
The present article presents partial results of the master's degree dissertation: "Of the people without space to the space without people: An analysis of the Zeitschrift für Geopolitik", presented to the Department of Geography/USP, in 1996. In the first publication of partial results of this Dissertation, we contemplated on the context of the time in that the Journal of Geopolitical appeared, in 1924, analyzing the eclectic universe of ideas and tendencies, lived by the crisis of the science " of the beginning of the century XX, with the intention of understanding the appearance of the Zeitschrift für Geopolitik (ZfG) - Journal of Geopolitical. In this article we opened a parenthesis to speak of the rising of data of the research as a whole, for then we begin the relative discussion to the principal debates joined in the Geography, produced in Germany, in the first decades of the century XX. He/she/you leaves central of this discussion it is consolidated in the debate among Geography of the Landscape (Landschaftskunde) and Regional Geography (Länderkunde).
