RESUMO

O texto é iniciado com os pais fundadores da disciplina acadêmica, com a proposta da inclusão de I. Kant; segue pela apresentação de “Geógrafos clássicos”; pelas relações com os historiadores; pela Geografia Neopositivistae pela Geografia Crítica. A questão da Pós-Modernidade e o fim da História e do espaço são discutidas, seguida pelaGlobalização e a “revanche” da Geografia. O texto é concluído com as relações da Geografia Histórica com a História do Pensamento Geográfico e com as demais Ciências Humanas. 

Abstract:The text begins with a review of the founding fathers of the academic discipline, with the proposal for the inclusion of I. Kant. It follows with the presentation of “Classical Geographers”; by relations with historians; by Neopositivist Geography and Critical Geography. The question of postmodernity and the end of History and space are discussed as well as the Globalization and the “revenge” of Geography. The text concludes with the relations of Historical Geography with the History of Geographical Thought and with the other Human Sciences.
