Resumo O presente artigo busca investigar as possibilidades acerca das representações cartográficas de “mundos fantásticos”. Estes mundos, que emergem da literatura /dramaturgia, tornam-se passíveis de serem representados espacialmente a partir da capacidade de discurso do narrador e da narrativa que se estabelece ao longo da trama apresentada. Esta trama, por sua vez, quando lida, se realiza através do leitor, que a representa de maneira única e intransferí- vel. No entanto, há de se destacar, que apesar da experiência individual da representação, a mesma pode também ser compartilhada entre múltiplos interessados, tornandose desta forma um produto associado ao imaginário coletivo. Assim, propõe-se, a partir desta consideração inicial, avaliar como o imaginário é capaz de se materializar cartograficamente a partir dos limites do que se entende por realidade. Partindo-se destas considerações, toma-se como estudo de caso, a cidade de Gotham do Universo da DC Comics baseado na série “Terra de Ninguém”, onde a representação cartográfica da cidade contribui para a percepção espacial dos acontecimentos apontados na narrativa. Abstract The present article seeks to investigate the possibilities of cartographic representations of ‘fantastic worlds’. These worlds, which emerge from literature/drama, become enabled of being spatially represented from the narrator's speech capability and also the narrative established along the displayed plot. This plot, in turn, when read, realizes itself through the reader, who represents it in a unique and non-transferable way. However, it’s important to point out that, despite the individual experience of representation, it can also be shared among multiple interested parties, becoming a product associated to the collective imaginary. Therefore, the purpose, from this initial consideration, is to evaluate how the imaginary is able to materialize cartographically from the understanding of the boundaries of what we understand as reality. With these considerations as a starting point, Gotham City in the DC Comics Universe, as portrayed on the series ‘No Man's Land’, becomes the case study, where the cartographic representation of the city contributes to spatial perception of the events indicated in the narrative.
