This paper concerns to the water alteration in sand mining in São Paulo metropolitan region, throught chemical analyses of water, the following alterations could be identified: pH (3,13 a 5,77), non filtered residue (26 a 5 mg/L), turbidity (1,4 a 6,5 N.T.U), trace elements (without alterations)
