Geografia em Atos (Online)

A discussão sobre as emoções perpassa diferentes áreas do conhecimento e, na Geografia, emerge nos últimos anos, a partir da Geografia das Emoções, que busca aliar as questões emocionais às questões espaciais. No Brasil, a reflexão ainda é incipiente, no entanto, há produções significativas em âmbito internacional, com pesquisas sobre a temática desde os anos 2000. Fundamentado em uma reflexão teórica e conceitual, o artigo tem por objetivo apresentar as diferentes perspectivas da Geografia das Emoções, apontando as discussões centrais realizadas sobre o assunto. No intuito de contribuir para a área, apresentamos ainda uma reflexão sobre o tema a partir da questão simbólica, aliando Geografia e Filosofia, discutindo as emoções e sua relação de sentido e significado no universo simbólico da cultura, refletindo ainda a narrativa como possibilidade metodológica para o estudo das emoções na Geografia. Percebe-se uma pluralidade teórica, conceitual e metodológica na Geografia das Emoções, o que demonstra a importância e potencialidade de estudos que busquem compreender as relações espaciais para além de sua materialidade, mas mediadas por questões subjetivas que animam a vida, como as emoções, já que elas fazem parte da construção de diferentes espacialidades cotidianas.
