Resumo
Uma das funções dos geógrafos é a leitura da paisagem.
Entretanto, encará-la sob a perspectiva semiótica traz alguns entraves
intelectuais. Uma forma de encarar esse embarreiramento é através do
estudo das representações da paisagem. Tendo conhecimento técnico na
área de cinema, debato algumas aplicações da linguagem cinematográfica
na construção de representações cinematográfica sob um olhar geográfico,
sublinhando a importância de sua compreensão para o entendimento da
própria paisagem.

Abstract
One of the geographers' functions is to read the
landscape. However, if we look at it from the semiotic perspective it
will bring some intellectual barriers. One way to face this, is through
the study of landscape's representations. As I have expertise in the
field of cinema, I will discuss some applications of cinematic language
in the construction of cinematic representations under a geographic
look, underlining the importance of it to understand the landscape
itself.
