SISTEMAS GEOAMBIENTAIS DO MUNICÍPIO DO CRATO/CE (geo-environmental systems the municipality of Crato/Ce)
Abstract
O município do Crato, em função de sua complexa
paisagem, apresenta uma diversidade de sistemas geoambientais, cuja
caracterização e delimitação poderão contribuir para a ocupação mais
adequada e menos impactante do espaço municipal. Esse trabalho, apoiado
na teoria geossistêmica, buscou identificar, caracterizar e apresentar
as respectivas potencialidades e limitações dos sistemas geoambientais
ás diversas formas de uso e ocupação. Foram identificados quatro
sistemas geoambientais (Chapada do Araripe: Platô e Encostas, Maciços e
Cristas Residuais, Sertões da Depressão Periférica Meridional do Ceará e
Planícies Fluviais) e dez subsistemas geoambientais (Platô Oriental
Revestido por Cerradão/Cerrado, Platô Ocidental Revestido por
Cerrado/Carrasco, Encosta Norte-Ocidental, Encosta Oriental, Maciço
Residual Central, Maciços Residuais Setentrionais, Depressão Sertaneja
Dominada por Material Sedimentar, Depressão Sertaneja Dominada por
Material do Embasamento Cristalino, Planícies Fluviais Úmidas e
Planícies Fluviais Secas).
Palavras-chave: Sistemas geoambientais. Potencialidades. Limitações.

and limitations of the nature recourses the ones forms of the use and
occupation. Four geo-environmental systems were identified (Chapada do
Araripe: plateau and hillside, Massif and residual crest, Sertão of
peripheric southern depression and fluvial Plains) and ten
geo-environmental subsystems (Eastern plateau covered by
cerradão/cerrado, Western plateau covered by cerrado/carrasco,
Northern-west hillside, central residual Massif, Northern Residual
Massifs, Sertaneja depression dominated by sedimentary materials,
Sertaneja depression dominated by embasement crystalline material; wet
fluvial plains and dry fluvial plains).
