AS CIDADES INVISÍVEIS DA AMAZÔNIA BRASILEIRA (the invisible cities in the Brazilian Amazon)
Abstract
Conhecer a realidade urbana da Amazônia é de
extrema importância para se compreender os processos
contraditórios da modernização e seus impactos na conservação da
floresta. Apesar do esforço de se compreender a dinâmica urbana na
Amazônia Brasileira muitas cidades continuam desconhecidas,
principalmente aquelas localizadas em areas distantes dos grandes
projetos de desenvolvimento econômico e da fronteira agropecuária.
Este é o caso para as cidades localizadas na calha do rio Juruá no sul
do Amazonas, tal como a cidade de Eirunepé. Com o intuíto de contribuir
com o conhecimento da dinâmica urbana e da cidade de Eirunepé este
artigo visa analisar o perfil urbano de Eirunepé buscando com isso
fomentar pesquisas sobre as cidades invisíveis da Amazônia Brasileira e
ao fazê-lo tece reflexões sobre a rede urbana no Amazonas propondo uma
classificação e tipologia que contemple a complexa urbanodiversidade
existente na região.

ABSTRACT
To
build a knowledge of the urban reality in the Brazilian Amazon is
extremely important to compreehend the contradictory processes implied
by modernization and its impacts in the forest conservation. Despite the
effort to compreehend the urban dynamics in the Brazilian Amazon many
cities continue unknown, especially those located in areas distant from
the deveolpment projects and the agriculture frontier. This is the case
of the cities located along the Juruá river south of the Amazonas state,
such as Eirunepé. Aiming to contribute to the discussion of the
urbanization this paper will through the analysis of the urban perfile
of Eirunepé re-discuss the classification and typology of the cities in
the Amazonas state contributing to the undersanding of the complex
urbandiversity.

RESUME
La
connaissance de la réalité urbaine de l’Amazone est extrêmement
important pour comprendre les processus contradictoires de la
modernisation et ses impacts sur la conservation des forêts. En dépit de
l’effort de comprendre la dynamique urbaine dans l’Amazonie brésilienne
restent inconnues de nombreuses villes, en particulier ceux situés dans
des zones éloignées des grands projets de développement économique et
de la frontière agricole. C’est le cas pour les villes situées dans le
lit de la rivière Juruá aux sud de Amazonas, comme la ville de Eirunepe.
Dans le but de contribuer à la connaissance de la dynamique urbain cet
article vise à analyser le profil urbaine de Eirunepe favorisant ainsi
les villes invisibles de l’Amazonie brésilienne et, ce faisant, se
penche sur le réseau urbain de l’Amazonie pour proposer une
classification et typologie qui contribu pour comprendre
l’urbanodiversidade complexe dans la région.
